Hit the Gym, or pay more for healthcare

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has his city union workers hitting the treadmill or paying more for healthcare.Advisers overseeing the program will monitor progress on a bimonthly basis, and those who reach their goals could see their health care premiums reduced.

Employee wellness programs often have incentives to participate, not punishments, or Big Brother monitoring people's "progress." I'm all for exercise but not at the end of the government's whip. And THIS would be the shape of things to come with socialized healthcare - the government forcing workers to do what it considers healthy because the government is the only source of healthcare and can make all the rules. Nasty.
