Forget Border security -- Let's give the Mexican Cartels more weapons!!

Instead of making our borders more secure - someone in the Emperor's administration had this "brilliant" idea - Let's give the Mexican drug cartels easy access to more guns by providing them to known straw buyers. Then we can "track" the guns and catch the leaders of the drug cartels red-handed with our guns and be able to prosecute them.

My guess is that who ever thought up this hair-brained idea is on the drugs they are pretending to stop.

Equally discouraging, the report concludes the operation itself was a failure, saying after 18 months of investigative work, Fast and Furious resulted only in indictments of 20 straw purchasers, buyers who were known before the operation even began.

So they arrested already known straw buyers, provided thousands of firearms to the cartel to use against US and Mexican citizens, and wasted 18 months and who knows how many of our tax payer dollars on a plan that was totally insane to begin with. Oh well - that's par for the course with the Emperor's regime.

Any thoughts on why this has not made front page news in the MSM?
