Amazing
Al Gore points to a specific rain storm or a specific high temperature as proof of global warming.
Everytime I point to a specific weather event (in jest) the left goes nuts saying one specific event is not "climate".
I do that to make a point and Al Gore proves it for me once again. Warmers such as him do exactly that all the time as proof of their idiotic claims and those same global warming zealots never call Gore on his rhetoric.

Wisconsin Governor given an F on fiscal policy.
Cato Institute:
That is the backdrop to this 10th biennial fiscal report card of the governors, which examines state budget actions since 2008. It uses statistical data to grade the governors on their taxing and spending records — governors who have cut taxes and spending the most receive the highest grades, while those who have increased taxes and spending the most receive the lowest grades.
Four governors were awarded an "A" in this report card — Mark Sanford of South Carolina, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, and Joe Manchin of West Virginia. Seven governors were awarded an "F" — Ted Kulongoski of Oregon, David Paterson of New York, Jodi Rell of Connecticut, Pat Quinn of Illinois, Jim Doyle of Wisconsin, Bill Ritter of Colorado, and Chris Gregoire of Washington.
And Tom Barrett wants to continue his legacy...
State governments have had to make tough budget choices in recent years. Tax revenues have stagnated as a result of the poor economy, and that has prompted governors to take a variety of fiscal actions to close large budget gaps. Some governors have cut spending to balance their budgets, while others have pursued large tax increases.

PolitiCrap: Advancing Wisconsin, John Lehman is keeping us safe.
The Claim: A left wing advocacy group called "Advancing Wisconsin" using paid volunteers just left their flyer on my door proclaiming how State Senator John Lehman is helping to keep us safe. Analysis: As a member of the Joint Finance Committee John Lehman pushed for a budget with billions of dollars worth of tax and fee increases and left a $2.9 billion structural deficit in his wake. Among the more unsafe portions of that budget was an early release program to let felons out of prison early, John Lehman approved of and voted for that provision and for that budget. The same literature piece mentioned Lehman's vote for a tougher drunk driving law, it of course failed to mention that Senator Lehman was completely silent regarding the multiple drunk-driving arrests of Jeff Wood in the Assembly. Of course it is up to the Assembly to admonish their own members, but John Lehman did not lift a finger to attempt to influence his fellow In a time where it was necessary to reign in the growth of government, John Lehman went full speed ahead with a dangerous budget busting agenda that cost Of course we were told that violent offenders would not be released. Non-violent offenders like Michael R. Green who entered a guilty plea in the killing of a sandwich delivery driver, Joseph Muntz in John Lehman let the non-violent offender Michael R. Green out of jail. If that is what Advancing Wisconsin considers “keeping us safe” I would hate to see what they consider reckless behavior. Conclusion: Total Crap. UPDATE: Michael Green was actually let out of prison before this program went into effect, that was in error and I apologize for that. However, that does not change the rating here as letting prisoners out early has led to many of them being put right back into jail. |

Budgeting for votes
Last week Tom Barrett released his first tax freeze city budget. He was routinely criticized from conservative bloggers and pundits for not having done a tax freeze at any other time in his political career but seemingly finding the will to slow tax growth just ahead of November 2.
The public employee unions who go ballistic every year when Scott Walker does the same thing have been completely silent since Barrett’s tax freeze proclamation. (They know he doesn’t really mean it.)
In short Barrett’s budget proposal was a political stunt.
I find absolutely no difference in Scott Walker’s proposal to lower the Milwaukee County tax levy by a million bucks. Walker has always been content to roll with the previous year’s number, now just when he needs the votes he finds the will to lower the levy?
I’m not buying it.
We need to shrink the size of government, not just in the weeks in front of November in an election year, but with a concerted effort every day.
In the last disastrous state-wide budget process Republicans tried their best to “hold the line on spending”. That’s not good enough. We need actual cuts, not just reductions of planned increases.
Granted, Walker ’s usual hold to the previous year’s levy is light years ahead of Barrett’s usual tax increases. However, we should all be honest enough to realize that both of these tactics for whatever reason had nothing to do with what was right or wrong but had everything to do with trying to get elected.

Barrett lying about stem cell research.
It happens every election, Democrats put out a sympathetic mother with a sick child claiming that their opponent wants to ban stem cell research.
Of course they take a very narrow meaning, government funding of embryonic stem cells, and apply it to every kind of stem cell research everywhere. That's the lie part.
Why tell the truth when a lie can be so much more destructive?
Stem cells are a complicated subject but the simple fact is they still have not been able to cure a thing using embryonic stem cells. Here we are so many years later with the same lies from the left and the same simple fact that there have been amazing results using adult stem cells.
The subject as always boils down to abortion, cloning and ethics. The left is all about the first two, not so much on the third.
I don't think the voters are going to let you slide on it this time.

Cowboy Bud
A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote Pasco pasture when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust.
The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, RayBan sunglasses and YSL tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, Will you give me a calf?"
Bud looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, Why not?"
The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his AT&T iPhone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo. The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses an MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives a response. Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP
LaserJet printer, turns to the cowboy and says, "You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves."
"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says Bud.
He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with amusement as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.
Then Bud says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?"
The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"
"You're an aide in the Obama Administration", says Bud.
"Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"
"No guessing required." answered the cowboy. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked. You used millions of dollars worth of equipment trying to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don't know a thing about how working people make a living - or about cows, for that matter.
This is a herd of sheep. ...
Now give me back my dog.

It might be time for a Cheddarvention.
The word is out on Steve Kagen and the lies he is telling about his opponent Reid Ribble.
Kagen knows he is going to lose and he is desperate. Fact Check, PolitiFact and Politicrap and declared Kagens Social security lie ad what it was, a low down pants of fire piece of crappy crap crap.
Not in Folkbum land though. In Folkbum land up is down, day is night, ethics are never a concern and Democrats are never, ever wrong.
I'm not even going to get into his ridiculous Lassa defense. Seriously though it might be time for a Cheddarvention for Mr. Bullock. I'm seriously concerned about his mental stability.
I'm afraid it is only going to get worse. The closer we get to November, the more the polls show dissatisfaction with the donkey the crazier the distortions of the left will become. Ultimately as they go down in flames of disbelief they'll lash out at the intellectual capacity of those who do not agree with their big government solutions to, well everything.
It amazes me that people who lack even basic honesty are continued to be allowed to make a living off of the backs of taxpayers. If Folkbum had an ounce of class he'd call these ads what they are, lies and distortions.
He won't.

REALLY, really??!!?
Ok, so I haven’t been posting much lately.
Mostly, its because I get too sick to my stomach after reading “news” about just how much I am getting screwed by my government.
I love the fact that Colbert was all over the news for some ridiculous testimony last week.
But I ask you:

But I ask you:
How in the hell are these stories not getting more airtime???
1. The government is finding new ways to screw you.
2. The government is finding new and exciting ways to “redistribute” your taxes.
