What happened to the anti-war left

Almost every weekend at the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 31 in Racine anti-war protesters stood and waved signs calling for an end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Until of course Barack (censored) Obama was elected, then they seemingly all went home to their solar powered geothermal heated caves never to be heard from again.
Obama has continued President Bush's policies in Iraq and expanded hostilities in Afghanistan. And the anti-war protesters just don't come out of their caves any more.
Now it appears that President Obama will visit Racine on Wednesday. Will those former protesters show up with their signs and call on Obama to cease hostilities? I doubt it, they will form a loving throng to welcome Obama to Racine.

Worst administration in history.
Enviro weenies are destroying this country.
Here are some comments from this story.
I have never been the black helicopter or conspiracy type. But it becomes more apparent each day that this administration it utilizing this disaster to accomplish moving its agenda forward at the cost of the environment and citizens. The childish mentality of the president and his advisers have betrayed the American people and the constitution. By the way, I voted for Obama. My regrets to my fellow citizens.
Jun. 23, 2010 9:14am CDT from xnavyYou don't get it. This is Obama's next target. The oil companies. He wants to send them elsewhere off our shores. When a plane crashes and all on board are lost you don't shut down the airline industry but this is precisely Obama's move with the supposed 6 month moratorium which isn't just a six month moratorium. It's an indefinite moratorium. Do any of you realize that BP had already set up a fund for damages to go directly to the citizens of the gulf? The Obama administration, in the push to intimidate BP have confiscated BP's private property(assets) without due process (Constitution Amendment 5). This is a matter that should be settled in our court system, not by the president of the US... CurlyQ
People you need to look deeper. This administration is sending a message to the people of Louisiana and the rest of the gulf coast, if you had a governor or senators that were on our side we would help you, but as long as you continue to put people in office that are opposed to our views, we will not. Simple as that. You think you have an honorable man as president, because that is what we expect. You do not. You have a person that has immersed himself in a particular ideology and he has no conscience when it comes to your everyday lives. All this is now being orchestrated to make changes as quickly as they can.
Jun. 23, 2010 9:13am CDT from judyt8550I wonder if the reason that Obama is ignoring the gulf region (including Louisiana) is because they are poor and black? Wasn't that the reason that George Bush did nothing to help with the Katrina crisis? At least Bush wasn't putting roadblocks in front of the local and state goverments to keep them from helping their citizens!
Jun. 23, 2010 9:13am CDT from westoverbl"Never let a good crisis go to waste" How many have picked up on that Obama and his administration creates these crisises? and then uses them to his best advantage. In most countries or businesses this is call treason! Has it dawned on some of you that Obama is destroying not helping this country? Es hora de empezar a aprender español.
Jun. 23, 2010 9:12am CDT from billcrawfordAt this point, it is clear: O's puprose is to subjugate every aspect of individual freedom to government control; make the people dependant upon the government for their every need, and them make them beg for whatever crumbs he is willing to give them. Jindall should keep building the berms and force O to stop him at gun point in front of the national media.
Jun. 23, 2010 9:11am CDT from CyrusThis has to be the most inept bunch of clowns that have ever held power in Washington. Next time you vote,do your homework. If you had vetted Obama before the 2008 elections you would have seen this coming. I can see Noverber from my porch.

Want a Secure Border? Give me amnesty 1st!
Obama is again using a crisis to hos advantage at the cost of our country! Senator Kyl is 1000% right. Only by FIRST securing the border do we have any chance of getting our immigration under control and begin to have a citizenship path (NOT AMNESTY) for those who are here and for those who want to come into the US!!
Amnesty is NOT the answer - citizenship and enforcement of our immigration laws is!!

No on Kagan.
Elections have consequences, sitting executives get to make nominations.
My less enlightened friends on the left have shown time and time again that they do not support that opinion and that they want judges voted down who they think are too conservative.
Well now we find our that the Elana Kagan thinks it was a swell thing when the radical left got rid of Judge Bork due to his political views. In fact she called that travesty "the greatest thing that ever happened to Constitutional Democracy." At least Bork had judicial experience, other than Halloween Elana Kagan has never put on a judge's robe. If that's the way Kagan wants it then that's the way she can have it.
I call on the Senate to block her and her radical liberal views with absolutely everything they have.
Call your Senators folks. Wisconsin, get behind the movement to remove Russ Feingold. He could not vote for Judge Alito but will have no issues at all voting for the far less experienced far more radical Kagan.
Defeat Obama's radical legacy.
