Who 'dat?

Lisa nailed it, this is John Heckenlively.
Who's John Heckenlively?
A long time active Racine Democrat, big time labor guy and the sacrificial lamb being thrown up by the 1st Conressional District Democrats to run against Paul Ryan this year.

It is Fred wearing a very bad wig and someone else's clothes!

Nope.

I know, I know...That's the Racine Democrat/congressman wannabe from Wisconsin's First Congressional District...a/k/a John Heckenlively, or Racine's answer to Michael Moore.  This could be Paul Ryan's easiest election cycle ever! ;)

Well, at least he's better looking and thinner than Mr. Ryan.

I thought you were kidding because everyone would know who this was! What I don't understand is that if Ryan is so bad, why can't they find a decent candidate to challenge him - especially in this democratic area?

If you are not active in Racine politics Ed you would probably not know John.

It seems like just yesterday John and I were at a party in Madison discussing politics.  Okay, it was during the Reagan era.  I wish I took notes.

Are you sure that's not John Candy?  Racine may be thinking, if it worked for Minnesota and Al Franken why not us?

I'm sorry!  When I saw that picture, I was laughing so hard I had to run to the bathroom, I couldn't hold it any longer!  This guy is the poster child for the desparate dummycrats!  He should consider not running, avoid the embarrasment of getting his butt waxed and save the money he will need to fork out for taxes HIS PARTY has already put on the books, and want to put on the books.

I say hats off to John. He's passionate about his party and bold enough to stick his neck out there in the first district. He's also a lot of fun at Team Trivia at McAuliffe's :)

Whether you agree with his or his party's politics or not, I'm genuinely impressed by a guy willing to jump into the race against a well seasoned incumbent.

Does he "look" like a politician? No, but so what? He's participating in our great democratic political system, and I totally respect him in that - much more so than the blogosphere whiners (on both sides) who do nothing but bitch and little else.

IMHO

He looks like a Michael Moore clone.

PCD:  He thinks he is Michael Moore, so he affects MM's dress.

Guys, If I don't like the greatest in the picture, it's because I had been outrunning cops firing rubber bullets and tear gas for the better part of two hours.

Thanks, Brad for the nice comments.

As to being a Michael Moore clone, I wish I was. Then I would be worth about $50 million and could spend Ryan into oblivion.

I still don't think that would be enough John.

For the record, I'm glad you made it onto the ballot.  Good luck in Madison today.
