A closer look at Marge Krupp.

After learning about the lawsuit against Marge Krupp for failing to pay a campaign consultant, I started to look at her campaign reports, I have some questions.

Why has Marge Krupp accepted $12,500 from east coast unions? She had reported a total of only $100 in contributions from local unions.

She got another $2,500 from the DNC Drive committee. A total of $15,100 in big leftie PAC contributions. Why isn't the local media concerned with how much money she is getting from out of state special interests? (Oh yeah, that is only an (R) thing)

To gain those contacts and contributions Krupp has spent $23,000 thus far in hotshot Washington DC campaign consultants. (plus more for local consultants).

Marge if you are really so bright that we should elect you to Congress why must you so heavily rely on DC consultants?

Beyond that Marge you are spending $500 a month for your website. (Hint, you are paying too much).

There are other issues...

4-7-08, $20 for Crest White Strips? Seriously? You expect your campaign to help whiten your teeth?

1-4-2008, $537.95 for, get this, camera friendly glasses?

5-22-07, $261.00 for a campaign suit...

6-1-07, $261.00 for another campaign suit? Same suit? Same price? Different color?

It goes on and on... A $2 travel expense? Way to put yourself out there Marge.

I've heard so much talk about how much money Krupp has raised, but I have to tell you folks, she spent most of it already. Consultants and websites cost money you know, lots of money.

Krupp only has a reported $24,146 on hand as of the 8-20 reporting period. She's spent $86,964 so far just to get her to Tuesday's primary.

Should Krupp escape the primary she will face an incumbent with $1,686,005 on hand.

I hope those longshoremen aren't out of money.

No pay Marge.

I mentioned there was a looming story involving Marge Krupp candidate for Congress in the first district.

The issue revolves around a law suit filed by a fund raising consultant. It seems Krupp hired the consultant, William Zachary Williams, held an event and then she stiffed the consultant for the $1,400 fee owed. A suit was filed against Krupp on the 18th of August.

I'm looking into some more issues with Candidate Krupp, more to come.

Fill in the blank.

I don't know about you....

...but I'm certainly sleeping a little better!

Is this a consensus, by the way??

Remember those breathless stories about how Obama had 38 million people tune in for his speech? What a triumph!

Palin had 40+

That giant whining sound you hear is Kieth Olbermann's head exploding.

Did you catch the headline in the Racine Journal Times after Sarah Palin's speech on Wednesday night?

Palin Attacks Obama.

A major new figure breaks onto the scene and the biased Journal Times puts that as their headline?

What a biased piece of crap paper we have in this town.

(Hint: everything is not about Obama)

Rumors in the 1st CD Democratic primary.

Look for a major story involving Marge Krupp in the next day or two...

More later.

Racine GOP Open House.

I had the opportunity to stop in for a few minutes at the Grand Opening of the Racine County GOP office this evening.

A steady stream of excited people came through the doors looking for information, signs and bumper stickers for McCain / Palin. These weren't the usual party faithful that show up and work every event, a number of people joined the party tonight and close to a hundred people volunteered to work for the campaign. Not a bad result for a rainy Thursday evening.

I spoke to the County Chair, Bill Folk, at about 10:30 tonight and he was thrilled with the turnout and the number of people volunteering to work for the campaign.

Everyone I spoke to was excited about the VP choice of Sarah Palin and credited that selection as the catalyst for their interest.

It is a whole new ballgame folks, the base is back.

Dagg nab it!!

You pesky kids!!
Stop using my song!

I'm too hot of an act for you to steal from me.

Transcending Gender: Palin-Style

So it's the morning after the eagerly anticipated speech by Governor Palin, and I must say the pride I felt last night watching her hasn't dimmed a bit today.

I'm not going to dissect the speech, or re-quote anything. I'll let the political pundits do that--and we have plenty of them.

I'm going to offer some observations I had last night during her speech, and they're mostly personal.

At different points in the speech I stole a glance or two at my husband. The interesting thing about my Paul (there are many--not just one) is his ability to say something in a very simple, straightforward--sometimes obvious way.

So, when he uttered these words mid-way through the speech I was reminded of how right I was to rely on his input and opinions during my political career.

The words were: "Ya know, I stopped thinking about her being a woman."

O'k, so they're not earth-shattering words by any standard. However, as we "inside-baseball" political junkies dissect, examine, and fret about the little stuff like where the pauses are, the hand gestures, the right color tie, etc., we sometimes miss the simple stuff.

The most significant thing Governor Sarah Palin did last night was transcend gender.

Instead of having "go girl" thoughts, I found myself as equally inspired by her as I was so many years ago listening to Ronald Reagan. Certainly, I don't believe anyone listening to Reagan then was focused on the fact he was a man! Never occurred to us. Nor should the fact that our VP candidate is a woman take the front seat of our thoughts today.

She demonstrated a sharp wit and good sense of timing with her hockey mom/lipstick joke. When introducing her infant son with Down's Syndrome, she did so calling him "perfect." Endearing her to moms (and dads) across the country.

So as the left and the media try their best today to turn the focus toward the fact that politicians actually have speechwriters (although, they don't say this about their Chosen One) they continue to show their cluelessness on what makes America tick.

See, we already KNOW that! Here's an interesting tidbit: we're able to figure out that even Barack Obama uses speechwriters! We don't care. What we care about is the sincerity of the person speaking, if we can connect and empathize with the speaker, and if their actions align with their words.

Sarah Palin's align, allright. And that scares the hell out of 'em.

Hey Barack, she did that without her teleprompter...

This from Erick Erickson.

Halfway through Sarah Palin's speech tonight at the RNC, people following the speech noticed she was deviating from the prepared text.

According to sources close to the McCain campaign, the teleprompter continued scrolling during applause breaks.

As a result, half way through the speech, the speech had scrolled significantly from where Governor Palin was in the speech. The malfunction also occurred during Rudy Giuliani's speech, explaining his significant deviations from his speech.

Unfazed, Governor Palin continued, from memory, to deliver her speech without the teleprompter cued to the appropriate point in her speech.

Contrast this to Barack Obama who, when last his teleprompter malfunctioned, was left stuttering before a crowd unable to advance his speech until the problem was resolved.

Sarah Palin. Winner.

Oh, she's good....

Some people use change to promote their career.

Other people use their career to effect change...

Quote of the Day From.....guess!

Quote of the day:

"When liberals start acting like they're opposed to pre-marital sex and mothers having careers, you know McCain's vice presidential choice has knocked them back on their heels."

Newt Gingrich asked about Palin's Experience. Checkmate.

Checkmate, Newt.

Bush / Palin.

I thought John McCain was running for President?

Listening to the media and the leftist hate machine (one and the same anymore) you would never know McCain was the nominee.

Why is the left so obsessed with Palin?

They're scared.

Exposed! Feminists and the Democrats

So, are any of us really surprised at the lack of outrage on the part of our so-called "women's groups" regarding the sexist, backward, and vicious treatment of Governor Sarah Palin?

Have any of you heard objections from these man-hating gangs of broads when the media dwells on what she wore during the rally in Ohio, or how her hair was done? Probably not.

Worse yet, how about the hypocritical democrat party--the people who grandstand that they want "equal pay," the "right to choose," who have made staying home to raise a family something to sneer at?

And when we have an historical, accomplished, articulate, attractive, respectful woman candidate for vice-president, all the left can do is mock her daughter's pregnancy and call her a "barbie doll"--feeding into the very attitudes they claim they fought to destroy.

Oh, the Gloria Steinem Groupies are still around, you know....a whole lot grayer (because coloring your hair might be interpreted as some sort of subservience to males), still sans-cosmetics (because covering up your dark circles somehow denies the "suffering" men have put us through.) But instead of rallying to the side of a woman who is under unprecedented personal attacks (as is her minor daughter) they sit back and laugh with scorn---and fear.

Let's not forget that these are the covens of women who are the easiest threatened--albeit mostly imagined. They're threatened that their thin cloaks of gray--their mantras of Girl Power will now be examined. Seen through by a new generation of young women for what they really are: unhappy, bitter old hags who snap and bite when cornered--or challenged on their ideas.

Bitter that they couldn't make it on their own in the workplace--or in public office--like Sarah Palin has. Bitter that she has a devoted husband who has helped support their family, supported her career choices and raise their children. Bitter that she's physically attractive and smart! Bitter that she had the courage to give birth to a Down's Syndrome baby--and didn't "choose" to extinguish his life.

I am personally thankful to Sarah Palin, today. As a conservative woman and former elected official who has endured similar tactics and smears (although not nearly on as grand a scale!) I can sympathize with her. I'm thankful that through her acceptance of this historical nomination, she will be ripping the psychedelic covers off the sham National Organization of Women and their "sistas."

Those who are not political junkies are seeing the misogynistic media dissect her clothes, her hair, her makeup, her glasses, her fingernails, and yes, her children.

Non-partisan women voters will have their hackles raised over the attacks against her 17 year old daughter, too. With further attacks on her, the democrats will see more women flock to the McCain/Palin ticket--out of empathy for Sarah and anger over what new depths Obama's campaign has sunk to, they will research her qualifications and be duly impressed.

So, to Sarah Palin I say thank you. Thank you for giving my 14 year old daughter a clear look at the powerful undertow of sexism that's still alive and well in both the mainstream media and the democrat party.

Thank you Sarah for being the type of woman my daughter can look up to for your conservative ideals, your willingness to go toe-to-toe with the male establishment around you, and for the courage and compassion to bring your son into a world that you're willing to step up to and make better.

And thank you to her husband. Because as the saying goes, "Behind every successful woman is a great man!" (Unless you're a Steinem Wanna-Be!)

Guess the number game, sU... Edition

Yes, Mr. Pelican Pants nailed it. (Note to self: make plans for world domination more difficult to decipher.)
So, basically, what the delusional left is saying is that the GOP VP candidate has less experiece being an executive than “Xerox” has in Delaware – where he shares responsibility, and isn’t the final arbiter of any decision. Right?
As Bugs would say: What a bunch of maroons.
As I would say: What a bunch of broomsticks.

Violence at the convention.

By AMY FORLITI, Associated Press Writer Mon Sep 1, 11:39 PM ET

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Demonstrations near the Republican National Convention site turned violent Monday, as protesters harassed some delegates, smashed windows, slashed car tires and threw bottles. Police using pepper spray arrested more than 250 people.

The trouble happened not far from the Xcel Energy Center convention site where the GOP was starting its four-day meeting. And many of those involved in the more violent activities identified themselves to reporters as anarchists. These protesters, some clad in black, were operating on the streets in addition to a peaceful anti-war march, wreaking havoc by damaging property and setting at least one fire. Most of the trouble was in pocket of a neighborhood near downtown, several blocks from where the convention was taking place.

What happened to.....

The loony left at their worst.

The hate crowd at DKOS is spreading a rumor about VP nominee Sarah Palin. You've probably already heard it, but it sounds like a plot line from Desperate Housewives.

There is an interesting comment thread going on @ Peter's joint. Peter tells me this thread has had over 6,000 hits today so you know people are searching for this topic.

I heard about this earlier and decided to leave the insane to themselves.

After further though it is an illuminating exercise to learn how these Democrats loons actually think. In truth there really is no line they are not willing to cross to win. They don't give a damn about honesty or ethics. Any cost is worthy if they can beat the hated Republicans and that is all it boils down to.

I hate to point you to their insane rantings but it is a learning experience.
