Top Secret Audio: Democrats Meet Republicans at NH Debate

Brilliant... H/T http://www.theamericanmind.com/

I have just figured out the Presidential election.

I'm serious about this.

Boss fires staff for not smoking

Thu Jan 10, 11:04 AM ET

BERLIN (Reuters) - The owner of a small German computer company has fired three non-smoking workers because they were threatening to disturb the peace after they requested a smoke-free environment.

The manager of the 10-person IT company in Buesum, named Thomas J., told the Hamburger Morgenpost newspaper he had fired the trio because their non-smoking was causing disruptions.

Germany introduced non-smoking rules in pubs and restaurants on January 1, but Germans working in small offices are still allowed to smoke.

"I can't be bothered with trouble-makers," Thomas was quoted saying. "We're on the phone all the time and it's just easier to work while smoking. Everyone picks on smokers these days. It's time for revenge. I'm only going to hire smokers from now on."

There is a start-up movement to kick the momentum for a smoking ban in Wisconsin to the curb. If you would like to sign the petition, click this.

I do believe it is only a matter of time until smoking is banned in Wisconsin.

For those in favor, just ask yourselves what they will come after next?

Everyone thought it was silly when we discussed the possible banning of the light bulb a year and a half ago.

Urine Test

I got this in the email today, a fair point.

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I Do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who DON'T have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I Do, however, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS doing drugs while I work. Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though. Something has to change in this country -- and soon!

I'll be on the radio on Saturday.

I've been asked to be a guest Saturday morning on 91.1 WGTD out of Kenosha from 11am to noon.

I'll be a guest on Community Matters, hosted by Morris Reece & Jennie Tunkieicz.

The projected topic of the day will be the Presidential Election.

Bad global warming models.

If you have not yet read this story you should...

Here is the short and simple version.

The "experts" (some people call them the consensus) use computer models to project global warming.

They have been using these models long enough now to compare their projections with actual data.

The models are predicting higher temperatures than have actually occurred.

This is from the study: "Dire predictions of future warming are based almost entirely on computer climate models, yet these models do not accurately understand the role of water vapor. Plus, computer models cannot account for the observed cooling of much of the past century (1940-75), nor for the observed patterns of warming. For example, the Antarctic is cooling while models predict warming. And where the models call for the middle atmosphere to warm faster than the surface, the observations show the exact opposite."

So what does this all mean?

It is simple really.

We have been told by advocates to believe in something based on flawed insignificant models.

The simple fact is the earth is too complicated with far too many variables for any current computer model to predict with any amount of accuracy global warming patterns now or into the future.

I hate to throw some actual science on the rhetoric.

I wonder if Al Gore will have to give back his "peace" prize.

Isn't this just precious.... Nah, we don't need ID. Well to do everything but vote...

Voter cited by opponents of Indiana's ID law registered in two states

By Cindy Bevingtoncindyb@kpcnews.net

WASHINGTON – On the eve of a hearing before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Indiana Voter ID law has become a story with a twist: One of the individuals used by opponents to the law as an example of how the law hurts older Hoosiers is registered to vote in two states.

Faye Buis-Ewing, 72, who has been telling the media she is a 50-year resident of Indiana, at one point in the past few years also claimed two states as her primary residence and received a homestead exemption on her property taxes in both states.

Monday night from her Florida home, Ewing said she and her husband Kenneth “winter in Florida and summer in Indiana.” She admitted to registering to vote in both states, but stressed that she¹s never voted in Florida. She also has a Florida driver’s license, but when she tried to use it as her photo ID in the Indiana elections in November 2006, poll workers wouldn’t accept it.

I'd paint flames on it.

Vice Presidential Race.

Bill Richardson is kicking off the Vice Presidential race tomorrow.

Good luck Governor!

If working at Wal-Mart is so bad....

Why would 7,500 people show up for a job there?

Just an observation...

Question. Who is the most effective agent of change?

Answer. Hillary's makeup artist.

Now THAT, is some impressive change.

I do find it odd....

I find it odd that I have seen so many links to a New Republic piece blasting Ron Paul for being a racist on conservative blogs.

I thought the New Republic could not be trusted as a source as they have proven themselves to be untrustworthy through their total lies from the whole Beauchamp incident in Iraq? (yeah they gave up on the story after how long? jeesh) If they are that bad, they are that bad.

Frankly I could care less what the New Republic writes.

I find it even odder that so many people support Mr Paul when there is much information out there as to what a nutcase he really is. We did not need this article to know that.

I guess it is no odder than the people willing to ignore HRC's or Huckabee's multitude of ethical issues either.

"Comeback WHAAT?"

So, we find ourselves reading the headlines of "Comeback Kid" and references of "underdog" referring to (gasp) Hillary? Are you kidding me? I spent the morning shaking my head at articles all over the web trying to spin this Hillary (or HRC as the news outlets refer to her on the tickers) victory as some kind of resurgence. As if she's like a phoenix rising from the ashes...Sorry, I'm not buying it.

Seriously, has anyone in the entire country ever thought of HRC as an "underdog?" I've heard terms like the "Queen of Teflon", "Ice Queen", etc., but never underdog. The Mainstream Media's attempt at reforming her image into one of vulnerability, freshness, change and every other emotion-driving word they can think of will be a tough sell at best. America knows her, and control of her party is slipping out of her cold, clenched fists.

If anything, I feel a smidge of empathy for the campaign staff whose heads will roll over the evaporation of her cushy 22 point lead just 45 days ago. (It can't be that the voters are actually rejecting HER, can it?....isn't it always someone else's fault?) She did a good job of putting a happy face on it during her victory speech, but you bet the talk in the "war room" was shrill and intense to say the least. She lost 19 percentage points in her OWN party in a very short span of time. Visions of Donald Trump appear in my mind--picture HRC with the same bad comb-over shrieking, "You're Fired!" in the face of a shivering staff.

So, what do I think the headline SHOULD be? How about "BY A THREAD" or "JUST BARELY." Here's another: "BY THE SKIN OF HER PEARLY CAPPED TEETH"....I'm open to ideas. Seriously, Obama should have had the headlines with the discussion focusing more on his incredible momentum that swept NH in the last 6 weeks. Typically it would take a scandal of some sort to see such monumental gains.

For now, I'll just sit back and enjoy the parade of Talking Heads while they put their prettiest shades of lipstick on the pig known as the Hillary Campaign. But watch out, Obama. Everyone knows that pigs enjoy the mud.

Whoops they did it again...

MADISON, Wis. - A second printing gaffe in a little more than a year caused about 260,000 Social Security numbers to be put on the outside of envelopes and mailed from a state agency, stunning recipients concerned about the risk of identity theft.

The state Department of Health and Family Services said Tuesday that a private vendor based in Plano, Texas, made the mistake while sending informational brochures for state Medicaid services in the past few days.

Recipients found their own Social Security numbers on the envelopes.

EDS Corp. caught the mistake late Monday and stopped the mailings, which were supposed to go to 485,000 people, said Rea Holmes, executive assistant with the department.

"We are appalled that EDS made this mistake," said Karen Timberlake, deputy secretary of the state department. "We take our responsibility for protecting the confidentiality of our members
very seriously — and we expect our contractors to do the same."

So Hillary won New Hampshire.

I just love it when all the pollsters and pundits are completely wrong.

MRQ of the week

Congratulations to Wendy for MRQ of the week honors.

Why, oh why, is it never the hot guys at Packer games who stand shirtless in the stands when it is 25ยบ?

I'm curious.

In has vast experience in the United States senate what exactly has Senator Obama done to make us think he could possible unite this country?

In what way has he reached out or tried to work on a bi-partisan level on anything?

This is a serious question.

No snark is necessary.

Please, provide examples.

And she wonders why....

Two protestors at the final New Hampshire Hillary stop were removed for yelling, "iron my shirt".

Hillary in default mode thinks they were attacking because a woman should not be President. Her response was, "Ah, the remnants of sexism — alive and well,".

I think she completely misses the point.

I obviously don't know this for a fact, she may have been right. However, my first reaction was that these people were trying to make a point that government can not do everything for us, and they were using a humerous way to make that point.

A note to the Governor's Office.

I sent the following note to the Governor's Office, I'll let you know what kind of response I get.

I'd like to know if the Governor will be divesting the money donated to him from Norman Hsu now that Mr Hsu has been convicted and sentenced?

As I recall the Governor had said previously he did not know enough about the case to pre-judge and that to give up that $2,000 was premature.

We certainly know enough now to make a decision.

Will Governor Doyle keep this tainted cash or not?

True or false? Global temperature has not increased in the last six years.

True or false? Due to a La Nina pattern global temperature is expected to drop in 2008.

Essay. Assuming the above answers are both true; why do global warming advocates not mention these facts when discussing the subject?

An Open Reminder to the Wisconsin Media.

Norman Hsu gave the Wisconsin Democratic Party $10,000.

Norman Hsu gave Jim Doyle $2,000.

Governor Doyle told us it was too soon to give back the HSU money as we did not have enough information on the case or the man yet.

Norman Hsu has been found guilty and has been sentenced.

Might one of you enterprising people who ask questions for a living ask the Governor when he might be letting go of that money?

You might want to ask the State Democratic Party the exact same question.

The Governor's office is digging around this website every day anyway so they will be aware the question is coming.
