Supporters of U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign will hold events Thursday, August 14th, across Wisconsin as part of the first "McCain Nation" national event day. Supporters will meet at house parties in all 50 states to recruit volunteers, organize grassroots activity, make voter contact phone calls, and register new voters.
The Wisconsin events coincide with similar events across the country, as John McCain's supporters are inviting friends, family and co-workers into their homes to participate in this grassroots effort. The first national event day will be an important step in organizing supporters at the local level. With less than 100 days until the election, John McCain's campaign is counting on his supporters to spread his "Country First" message to their local communities.
Cindy McCain and a McCain senior adviser will participate in a conference call with supporters at the Wisconsin events and nationwide. Participants in McCain Nation will learn about the McCain campaign's strategy and will have the opportunity to ask questions on the call.
