Weekly Bad Teacher Recap.

Once again we present the weekly recap from Bad Bad Teacher.

This weekly series is an attempt to shine a light on a problem that is bigger than anyone wants to realize, people who we have entrusted with the care of our children preying upon them.

I'll provide my usual disclaimer, the vast majority of teachers are good people who are likely more enraged by the actions of their peers than you are. This post is not an attack on teachers in general.

When will the media stand up and start paying this problem the attention it deserves? When we get outraged.

• Erica Morquecho Gonzales, 33, a teacher’s aide at Kress High School in Kress, Texas has been indicted by a Hale County Grand Jury on a charge of improper relationship between educator and student.
• Brock M. Felton, 32, former band teacher at Izard County Consolidated School in Brockwell, Arkansas has been arrested and charged with multiple felony counts related to sexual indecency with a child; sexual indecency with a child; sexual assault in the 2nd degree and voyeurism.
• Jack W. McLaughlin, 71, a tenured teacher who taught theater at San Jacinto High School in San Jacinto, California has been arrested on allegations of molesting a boy at his school. It is alleged that McLaughlin had been molesting the boy for about nine months, beginning when the boy was under 14-years-old.
• Jon William McCarthy, 31, a substitute teacher and coaching assistant at Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Colorado has been arrested on allegations that he had inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile female student.
• Rebecca Ann Bramlett, 33, a former teacher at at Baines Middle School in Missouri City, Texas has been arrested and charged with the sexual assault of a 16-year-old boy.
• Keith E. Marshall, 48, a special education teacher in the Topeka Unified School District 501 in Topeka, Kansas has pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of sexual battery against a female student.
• Crissy Torcella Hisey, 28, an English teacher at Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta, California has been arrested on suspicion of oral copulation with a minor, sending harmful matter to a minor, and annoying or molesting a minor.
• Rickey Bonds, 30, a biology teacher at Salesian High School in Richmond, California has been arrested on allegations of the sexual abuse of a 16-year-old female student.
• David Tanguay, 61, a former biology teacher at Windham High School in Windham, Maine has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to one count of possessing child pornography.
• Michele E. Zulkowsky, 28, a teacher’s aide at North Penn High School in Lansdale, Pennsylvania has been arrested on accusations of inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old male student.
• Robb Arlon Hunt, 30, of San Jose, California a teacher at Homestead High School in Cupertino, California has been arrested on charges he had sex with a 17-year-old female student from Lynbrook High School, while he was a student teacher there during the 2005-2006 school year.
• Darren Snieszko, 25, a science teacher at Gibbs High School in Saint Petersburg, Florida has been arrested on allegations that he engaged in improper behavior with a 16-year-old female student.
• Daniel G. Frick, 38, a music teacher at Morristown Central School in Morristown, New York has been arrested for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a female student.
• Phillip Samuel Beeson, 53, a social studies teacher and girls’ basketball coach at New Bern High School in New Bern, North Carolina has been arrested on two counts of misdemeanor assault on a female.
• Keith D. Powell, 56, a music teacher at Stuart M. Townsend Middle School in Lake Luzerne, New York has been arrested on allegations of inappropriate acts with two 14-year-old female students
• John Bacho, 32, a former social studies teacher at Strongsville High School in Strongsville, Ohio has been indicted by a grand jury on five counts of sexual battery and one count of possession of a criminal tool - Bacho’s truck.
• Theodore Morris, 52, a teacher aid at New Britain High School in New Britain, Connecticut has been arrested on charges of sex assault, coercion and obscenity. Morris is accused of making an 18-year-old female student take obscene photos of herself after which Morris alledgedly distributed them.
• Daniel W. Kerekes, 37, a physical education and health teacher at South Brunswick High School in South Brunswick, New Jersey has been arrested and charged on allegations of a sexual relationship with a female student.
• Timothy Allen Rhodes, 42, a physical education teacher at Pleasant Plains Elementary School in Towson, Maryland has been arrested on allegations of sexual abuse of a 12-year-old female.
• Richard Curley, 55, founder and principal of Pacifica Academy in Encinitas, California has been arrested and charged with molesting a female student. It is alleged that Curley molested the girl during study sessions between October 2007 and this month.
• Tawni L. Wimberley, 29, a former computer/technology teacher at Flagstaff High School in Flagstaff, Arizona already indicted by a grand jury on one count of sexual conduct with a minor has been charged with two additional counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

Hopefully next weeks list will be smaller.
