If you were charged with gathering scientific evidence; for this example let us say temperature readings that went into national averages to measure global warming and historical temperature readings.
And in order to be scientifically objective let us say the thermometers that measured those temperatures were supposed to be 100 feet away from anything that could falsify those readings or reflect heat, but instead they were next to AC condensers that give off heat, above concrete or next to barrels used for burning garbage...
Might such shoddy scientific practices throw off the accuracy of those readings and bring to mind the quality of the modeling science as a whole if it were using those inaccurate temperature readings?
Suppose you could go and look at all the actual findings yourself? Would you? Might you reconsider your position if the actual statistics in the models used were gathered in a way that created false readings?Link updated as their server had crashed as news spread about this research. This will now go to the researchers blog. I updated a title link to http://www.surfacestations.org/ so you can check that later.
