Lautenschlager should resign.

It came to light today that AG Peg Lautenschlager gave Wisconsin Citizen Action $50,000 from a lawsuit settlement.

This money was supposed to go to "Wisconsin organizations engaged in the care and treatment of cancer or the promotion of improved health care for Wisconsin citizens." The only thing Wisconsin Citizen Action does is boycott Wal-Mart. In fact, I searched their website and nowhere did I even find the word cancer.

Wisconsin Citizen Action is an overt liberal advocacy group. Now, let me say this slowly. There is nothing wrong with being an overt liberal advocacy group.

There is a huge problem with the AG funneling $50,000 to such a group when there are so many deserving non-partisan groups. To do this in the middle of a political primary is obscene.

At the best this was stupidity, at the worst this is criminal.

Why give them them 50K when the following groups only got 10K: Breast Cancer Recovery Foundation of Madison, Families of Children With Cancer, Inc., ABC for Health, Covenant Health Systems, plus a variety of hospice centers.

In fact while Peg was trying to buy a political buddy the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Wisconsin Chapter was given $22,000 less than this overtly political organization.

To my liberal readers you should be outraged with this as well, if I were you I would throw my support behind Kathleen Falk.

One more of the recipients makes no sense, the YMCA of Milwaukee also got the top award of $50,000. The YMCA is a fine organization but how does it fit the criteria of care and treatment of cancer?
