Hillary Clinton was on the board of Wal-Mart in the 80's. Remember the 80's? Wal-Mart developed a strategic vision and started aggressive expansion then, and Hillary helped to create that corporate vision and steer the ship.
House votes to cut $700 mln in food stamps
Congress Helps Self to $3,100 Pay Raise (they all agreed to this so let us keep the partisan thing in check on this, they all suck.)
Be my voice. I want this message heard. It is mine and my platoon’s to the country. A man I know lost his legs the other night. He is in another company in our batallion. I can no longer be silent after watching the sacrifices made by Iraqis and Americans everyday. Send it to a congressman if you have to. Send it to FOX news if you have to. Let this message be heard please…
My fellow Americans, I have a task for those with the courage and fortitude to take it. I have a message that needs not fall on deaf ears. A vision the blind need to see. I am not a political man nor one with great wisdom. I am just a soldier who finds himself helping rebuild a country that he helped liberate a couple years ago.
I have watched on television how the American public questions why their mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters are fighting and dying in a country 9000 miles away from their own soil. Take the word of a soldier, for that is all I am, that our cause is a noble one. The reason we are here is one worth fighting for. A cause that has been the most costly and sought after cause in our small span of existence on our little planet. Bought in blood and paid for by those brave enough to give the ultimate sacrifice to obtain it. A right that is given to every man, woman, and child I believe by God. I am talking of freedom.
Freedom. One word but yet countless words could never capture it’s true meaning or power. “For those who have fought for it, freedom has a taste the protected will never know.” I read that once and it couldn’t be more true. It’s not the average American’s fault that he or she is “blind and deaf” to the taste of freedom. Most Americans are born into their God-given right so it is all they ever know. I was once one of them. I would even dare to say that it isn’t surprising that they take for granted what they have had all their life. My experiences in the military however opened my eyes to the truth.
Ironically you will find the biggest outcries of opposition to our cause from those who have had no military experience and haven’t had to fight for freedom. I challenge all of those who are daring enough to question such a noble cause to come here for just a month and see it first hand. I have a feeling that many voices would be silenced.
I watched Cindy Sheehan sit on the President’s lawn and say that America isn’t worth dying for. Later she corrected herself and said Iraq isn’t worth dying for. She badmouthed all that her son had fought and died for. I bet he is rolling over in his grave.
Ladies and gentleman I ask you this. What if you lived in a country that wasn’t free? What if someone told you when you could have heat, electricity, and water? What if you had no sewage systems so human waste flowed into the streets? What if someone would kill you for bad-mouthing your government? What if you weren’t allowed to watch TV, connect to the internet, or have cell phones unless under extreme censorship? What if you couldn’t put shoes on your child’s feet?
You need not have a great understanding of the world but rather common sense to realize that it is our duty as HUMAN BEINGS to free the oppressed. If you lived that way would you not want someone to help you????
The Iraqis pour into the streets to wave at us and when we liberated the cities during the war they gathered in the thousands to cheer, hug and kiss us. It was what the soldiers in WW2 experienced, yet no one questioned their cause!! Saddam was no better than Hitler! He tortured and killed thousands of innocent people. We are heroes over here, yet Americans badmouth our President for having us here.
Every police station here has a dozen or more memorials for officers that were murdered trying to ensure that their people live free. These are husbands, fathers, and sons killed every day. What if it were your country? What would your choice be? Everything we fight for is worth the blood that may be shed. The media never reports the true HEROISM I witness everyday in the Iraqis. Yes, there are bad one’s here, but I assure you they are a minuscule percent. Yet they are a number big enough to cause worry in this country’s future.
I have watched brave souls give their all and lose their lives and limbs for this cause. I will no longer stand silent and let the “deaf and blind” be the only voice shouting. Stonewall Jackson once said, “All that I have, all that I am is at the service of the country.” For these brave souls who gave the ultimate sacrifice, including your son Cindy Sheehan, I will shout till I can no longer. These men and women are heroes. Their spirit lives on in their military and they will never be forgotten. They did not die in vain but rather for a cause that is larger than all of us.
My fellow countrymen and women, we are not overseas for our country alone but also another. We are here to spread democracy and freedom to those who KNOW the true taste of it because they fight for it everyday. You can see the desire in their eyes and I am honored to fight alongside them as an Infantryman in the 101st Airborne.
Freedom is not free, but yet it is everyone’s right to have. Ironic, isn’t it? That is why we are here. Though you will always have the skeptics, I know that most of our military will agree with this message. Please, at the request of this soldier spread this message to all you know. We are in Operation Iraqi Freedom and that is our goal. It is a cause that I and thousands of others stand ready to pay the ultimate sacrifice for because, Cindy Sheehan, freedom is worth dying for, no matter what country it is! And after the world is free only then can we hope to have peace.

The House on Friday overwhelmingly rejected calls for an immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq, a vote engineered by the Republicans that was intended to fail. Democrats derided the vote as a political stunt.
"Our troops have become the enemy. We need to change direction in Iraq," said Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania, a Democratic hawk whose call a day earlier for pulling out troops sparked a nasty, personal debate over the war.
The House voted 403-3 to reject a nonbinding resolution calling for an immediate troop withdrawal.
"We want to make sure that we support our troops that are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. We will not retreat," Speaker Dennis Hastert, R- Ill., said as the GOP leadership pushed the issue to a vote over the protest of Democrats.
It was the second time in less than a week that President Bush's Iraq policy stirred heated debate in Congress. On Tuesday, the Senate defeated a Democratic push for Bush to lay out a timetable for withdrawal.
Murtha, a 73-year-old Marine veteran decorated for combat service in Vietnam, issued his call for a troop withdrawal at a news conference on Thursday. In little more than 24 hours, Hastert and Republicans decided to put the question to the House.
Democrats said it was a political stunt and quickly decided to vote against it in an attempt to drain it of significance.
"A disgrace," declared House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. "The rankest of politics and the absence of any sense of shame," added Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the No. 2 House Democrat.

Now we find out that Senate Dems requested a national intelligence estimate from the CIA on intel on Iraq and WMD's in 2002. Harry Reid never even freakin read the report!
If Harry Reid cared so little to even be bothered to read the report his party (oh whom he is a leader) requested of CIA Director Tenet, Harry should really shut the heck up, and give up his leadership position to someone like Joe Liberman who does his homework, and does not shout accusations without substantiation. If you are curious, the report was requested by the Minority Senate Whip, Dick Durbin of Illinois.
I am retiring my occasional Hypocritic Oaf Award because as far as i am concerned, Harry Reid just won the lifetime recipient award.

Frankly I am sickened by the lack of coverage of this story. We all of these Democrats screaming about WMD's, when there is plenty of evidence of the existence of a WMD program in Iraq.
Everyone wants to know, why did we not have the intelligence? Then we learn Able Danger had the intelligence and they were not allowed to act upon it.
The people who were involved in Able Danger have not been allowed to come forward and tell their story. Apparently Congressman Weldon has 202 signatures from Congressmen (80 are Democrats) demanding an open hearing on who knew what, when and why this intelligence was not allowed to be shared.
The Commander of the Cole has said if he had this intelligence he would not of docked in Yemen, but refueled at sea. Did you get that????? If he had been at sea those 17 sailors would be alive today.
Why is Able Danger being blocked? Simple, it will hurt the Clinton Legacy, it will also damage the Bush Presidency and even more, career type non-partisans who failed to do their jobs will be exposed as the complete and utter failures they are.
Left, right and middle we should all be outraged about this story. We knew about an attack in Yemen, we knew about the terror cell that pulled off 9-11, and we were not allowed to act on that information. This is an outrage for everyone in this country.

GQ Magazine has named their man of the year, Jenifer Anniston. According to the magazine, they gave her the honor because "she showed a lot of poise, grace and good humor during her breakup with Brad Pitt this year. The acting couple's divorce was granted last month after four years of marriage."
RealDebateWisconsin does not agree with this choice. If they wanted to nominate a tough woman as man of the year, I submit the following list.
- Ann Coulter
- Hillary Clinton
- Rosie O'Donnel
- Judge Judy
- Katherine Harris
- Gretta Van Susteran
- Susan Estrich
Feel free to add your nominees.
Perhaps a better question would be what man to nominate as woman of the year?
The Racine Jornal Times is reporting the following:
By Rachel McCormick
A Racine Unified School District teacher’s aide has been criminally charged for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a male student for two years.
Lisa Myhre, also known as Lisa Street, 33, of Racine, is charged with repeated sexual assault of the same child and sexual assault of a student by an instructional staff member, according to the criminal complaint filed at the Law Enforcement Center Monday afternoon.
The sexual contact began when the student was just 14-years-old and in the eighth grade at McKinley Middle School. The relationship ended on or just before January 2005, according to the complaint.
Myhre allegedly performed oral sex on the boy, touched him sexually, and kissed him throughout the course of the relationship.
The victim, now 17, told his mother on Oct. 24 who then informed police on Oct. 25.
Myhre works at Knapp Elementary School as a special education assistant working with special education students, said Linda Flashinski, director of communications for Unified. Myhre was placed on a paid suspension on Oct. 25 after the district learned of the police investigation, Flashinski said.
Myhre was arrested Monday just before 3 p.m. by Racine police, said Sgt. William Macemon, public information officer with the Racine Police Department. She was booked into the Racine County Jail where she remains.
A cash bond of $10,000 was set. She is expected to make her initial appearance in court tomorrow, authorities said.
OK, several things come to mind.
One, why are we continuing to pay this pedophile? Why on Earth is there a policy that pays people when there is this kind of allegation against them?
Two, why do we need all these assistants when we pay teachers so freaking much? I seem t0 recall making it all the way through high school without so mch as one Teacher's Assistant.
Three, why is their no passion in the statement of Linda Flashinski? Goodness knows she sure is passionate when she needs to pass a referendum after the voters reject it the first time. If RUSD employees were as passionate about protecting students as they were about protecting their funding, maybe this kind of thing would not happen.

Interestingly, they are creating an outlet for regular schmoe bloggers like me to submit material. These bloggers can get paid for said posts based on how much traffic is generated by those posts. Interesting concept. Some advise, one mention of Carolina Panthers Cheerleaders and my traffic jumped 500%!
From what I can tell, PJ's will offer thought and commentary from all sides of the political spectrum
We wish them well. We'll be watching. And I look forward to some day posting there.

The Journal Asterisk covered it here.
According to Time Doyle is ranked as the 4th most vulnerable Governor. The left has been hyperventalating about the possiblity of ousting the Governator, he ranked 6th on the list. Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich ranked 10th, and trust me on this, he is HATED in downstate Illinois.
Reince Priebus may of said it best yesterday when he said, "if your not a trial lawyer" "if your not a member of a tribe" "if your not a WEAC member" WHY would you support this Governor?
I said this last week, money matters and even though Doyle has a huge lead in that category, national money will flow in if the Republican party feels Doyle is vulnerable.
Doyle's rdiculous non-freeze tax freeze is going to bite him in the fanny. The people in this state want tax relief, and see none of that coming from the "Noid". Add that to his ethics issues on a variety of items and the fact that Doyle has NEVER been above 50% approval, and Doyle has big problems. Maybe Joe Wineke should think about getting his own house in order before he takes smarmy swipes at the President.
Saddle up folks for the nastiest election cycle we have ever seen.

We discussed the Michael McGee story earlier this week. He still fails to understand why anyone should call the police on him for sitting in the parking lot, lights on facing the window, engine running after Blockbuster was closed. He tells us how is liscence plate was visible and everything.
Let us recreate the scene shall we.
- Make sure it is dark.
- Find a big window, make sure the lights are on inside.
- Park your car in front of it, with the lights on.
- Go inside and look out the window.
What do you see?
That's right, you can not see a darned thing. So I am telling you with 100% certainty the black Assistant Manager had no clue as to McGee's license plate, or the race of the person in the car.
Frankly I am sick of the McGee's of our world blaming race on their own bad behavior.
“History will show that none of the leading Democrats had substantial intelligence. Anyone who remembers what we did then knows that the president is making a baseless allegation. I think history will bear out my contention that we Democrats lacked the intelligence to make such an important decision.”
For once I agree. Democrats did lack the intelligence to make an important decision. :)
Oh come on now, that is funny.
I'm sure Dean has his reasons, he has told us most of them, you remember? I hate Republicans, they have never done an honest days work, etc.
Combine this with yesterdays news that under his leadership Democrats are sagging far behind Republicans in fund raising. From January through September, the Republican National Committee raised $81.5 million, with $34 million remaining in the bank. The Democratic National Committee, by contrast, showed $42 million raised and $6.8 million in the bank.
I have written a couple of pieces lately on the civility of politics, and how it is sorely lacking. Howard Dean refusing to go on Meet The Press with Ken Mehlman only adds to the proof of that assumption. Dean apparenly would only go on camera following Mehlman.
I wonder if most Democrats were honest, how they feel in hindsight about Dean being named party chair?
I have a very good friend who was the chair of the Democratic Party on a county basis. I will not name the county out of respect for him. The local party threw him out of his positioin because he refused to endorse a preferred Democratic candidate in the primary process. Understand in the primary the Chair has to be neutral, supporting all candidates of his party. This person did their job, and got thrown out of his position for it. This is how they are treating their own for crying out loud.
The point is Democrats are so angry in many cases they are behaving irrationally to the detriment of their own cause. People keep making excuses for Howard Dean's bad behavior. Let me clue you Dems in on something, he may play well to the base but to the undecideds or uncomitteds, he looks like a crazy man. And he was chosen by you to lead your party.
Here in Wisconsin we covered the smarmy letter sent to the President by Joe Wineke. Democrats have actually defended this. The point they miss is this is the President, he deserves some amount of respect simply by the office he holds. You just do not send a letter like that, some amount of civility in the process shold be represented. The Democrats are not showing any of that of late. These are just two examples, I could list dozens.
That being said, considering the source my point will be ignored, laughed off and scoffed at by Democrats. Go ahead keep it up, it helps my side.
